The contacts from HyperTack Corporation are a new design that meets performance criteria previously thought to be impossible. The feature of the socket contact is that several beryllium copper wires are stretched at an angle relative to the socket axis, forming a hyperbolic-shaped sleeve. When the pin contact is inserted into this sleeve, the wires extend to accommodate it.
